Truck Camper Covers
Searching for truck camper covers on Google or any other search engine can be hard work; everyone seems that think that you are looking for camper shells – metal or fibreglass add-ons for pick-up trucks which act a little bit like truck campers but are not. However, hopefully the reason that you're here reading this is that you're looking for truck camper covers – protective coverings for your truck camper – and are having trouble deciding what to buy.
The main reason to buy truck camper covers is to keep them safe from the elements whilst they are in storage. Those intrepid truck camper riders, notorious for taking their vehicles off-road or over hard roads, may not find it easy to admit that their truck camper is susceptible to the forces of nature. If they can drive it about in the driving hail, apparently invincible against the icy onslaught, then why do they need to buy truck camper covers just to store it in the garage? However, unless you have packed in your job and are living a life of continual travel, your truck camper will likely be spending a lot more time in storage than it will ever spend in the open air.

The effects of leaving a truck camper in storage without truck camper covers are more important than most people understand. If you do not have a garage or are storing your truck camper out of doors for other reasons, then one of the most visible forms of damage that truck camper covers can prevent against will be sun damage. One effect of sun damage can be a fading of its finish, and another is sometimes the cracking of paint. RV roofs can cost thousands of dollars to repair or replace and so buying truck camper covers which offer protection from the sun's U.V rays is an invaluable investment. Although it may cost several hundred dollars to buy custom fitted truck camper covers, this is an investment for the future and far cheaper than paying for expensive repairs to your RV.
Another hazard of outdoor storage, if you cannot afford to pay for professional RV storage, is tree-sap. Most peoples' gardens, or at least the borders of their gardens, will be near some sort of tree. Whilst the shedding of leaves and the dripping of tree sap on your truck camper may seem entirely harmless, over time this can cause substantial staining and force you to get your truck camper repainted. With truck camper covers there is no such problem. They protect from dust, and tree sap, as well as the more serious problems within damper climates of rain, snow and hail which can all chip away at your truck camper's finish or even eventually seep into the camper, causing excess moisture, mold and mildew.
Overall, as invincible as your truck camper may seem to
you, truck camper covers are an important purchase for anyone who sees their
truck camper as a serious investment to be used and reused and eventually
resold.
